Job summary

Livingston Educational Service Agency is seeking a Technical Support Specialist I to support multiple consortium districts in Howell, MI. The role reports jointly to the local Technology Director and the Chief Technology Officer at Livingston ESA.

The position requires a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and hands-on experience with desktop, laptop, and printer hardware maintenance. You will troubleshoot OS environments and manage technology assets across districts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Experience with desktop, laptop and printer hardware maintenance required.
• Ability to troubleshoot various operating system environments.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, imaging, inventory, and software installation of computers and other peripherals.
• Answer technical questions and help users become efficient in the application of current and new technology.
• Assist staff in the full utilization of standard software package features.
• Prioritize, track, and report technology work orders.
• Repair, image, inventory, and deploy software for assigned consortium district technology assets.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all technology assets.
• Manage deployment and redeployment of technology assets within assigned consortium school districts.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, clean and repair assigned consortium district technology assets and associated software.
• Assist the Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer and System Analyst in day to day tasks.
• Train and mentor consortium technology staff on areas of expertise.

Education
