Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead K-12 Education projects. Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, procurement, quality, and risk; interfacing with clients and consultants; and developing detailed project plans.

Qualifications

• Experience as PM in design and construction on public-sector projects, ideally with K-12 Education projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong client-facing ability.
• College degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional registration (PE, RA, AIA) preferred.
• LEED accreditation and/or PMP or PgMP certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of Owner’s Representative or Project Management experience, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with design professionals, contractors, and administrators to ensure an acceptable product per contract specs, codes, and district policy.
• Manages budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk for individual projects from planning through closeout.
• Interfaces directly with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Develops detailed project plans and action steps to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
• Monitors performance and tracks progress against budgets, timelines, and reports.
• Manages change control processes and issues change orders as needed.
• Assess change requests for impacts to scope, budget, and risk with management support.
• Ensures project data integrity and timely documentation and reporting.
• Supports proposal development for new work or variations.
• Identifies opportunities to improve PM procedures and templates.
