Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager with K-12 construction experience to join our team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will support large-scale education construction projects, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring governance and cost control best practices.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, reporting, and interface with designers, engineers, suppliers, and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Must have public sector Owner’s Rep/Advisor experience, preferably some education projects.
• Strong organizational and management skills with the broader team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Analyze, track, and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
• Ensure governance, processes and systems are properly applied on projects.
• Produce formal project status reports and other required documents.
• Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied correctly.
• Coordinate interface between all suppliers via monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Facilitate regular meetings and written communications for project information flow.
• Forecast and update key project milestones; manage local design teams per criteria.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
• Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field; advise on cost control and value engineering.
