Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to collaborate with teachers and staff to support students with intensive behavioral needs.

You will implement Positive Behavior Support Plans, track progress, and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment across classrooms and common areas. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, participate in IEP meetings, and provide supervision and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Behavior Specialist License required.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs.
• CPI Certification is preferred.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and handle crises effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support across the school site.
• Create and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and Skill Acquisition Programs.
• Record and analyze behavioral incidents and complete quarterly progress reports.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• De-escalation, crisis management, and physical intervention if needed for safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop differentiated support for students with more intensive needs.
• Participate in debriefings after challenging situations and communicate with parents.
• Conduct assessments such as Functional Behavior Assessments, VB MAPP, and Essentials for Living.
• Attend IEP meetings and provide supervision to behavior technicians.
