Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Climber I to perform general tree care tasks including pruning, cabling, and removals under supervision. The role supports team efforts in clearing sites and disposing of debris while maintaining safety and adherence to company protocols.

The position requires physical stamina and the ability to use hand tools and light machinery, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience and certifications such as EHAP, First-Aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow site procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and reports.
• Effective communication with team members and the public for safety around work areas.
• Willingness to become certified in EHAP, First-Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations including pruning and limb removal up to medium heights.
• Access trees safely and move through canopy while avoiding damage or injury.
• Safely operate powered equipment (chippers, trucks, blowers).
• Use hand tools like saws, pruners, rakes and shovels to complete tasks.
• Wear PPE as required and maintain a safe work zone.
• Follow plans to prevent property damage and injury at job sites.
