Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Climber I to perform tree care tasks, including pruning, limb removal, and canopy work, in a safe and efficient manner. You will operate equipment such as chippers and blowers, follow rigging procedures, and maintain a clean work zone while assisting with debris removal.

The role requires familiarity with safety protocols, the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and strong communication with climbers and the public around the work area.

Qualifications

• Experience or equivalent demonstrated in arboriculture or tree care operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures for roping, rigging, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read basic documents and report routine information.
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, or schedule forms and work with varied instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math using weight, volume, and distance for field tasks.
• Ability to communicate safely with team using hand signals and spoken directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care such as pruning and limb removal up to 60 feet.
• Access trees safely per protocols and move within the canopy without damage.
• Operate powered equipment like chippers, trucks, and blowers safely.
• Use hand tools (saws, pruners, poles) for tree tasks and maintain PPE.
• Maintain a safe, organized work zone and prevent property damage during work.
