Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Climber I to join our vegetation care team. This entry-level role involves pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and tree removals, plus assisting with site clearing and debris disposal.

You will work in trees and on the ground, using PPE and climbing techniques under supervision, while following safety rules and company protocols. A strong work ethic and reliable communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Able to follow directions related to roping and rigging, and equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and safety focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to calculate weight, volume, and distance for arboricultural tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal on the ground and in trees up to 60 feet.
• Access a tree safely following company protocols and move in the canopy while removing branches safely.
• Safely operate powered equipment like chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use basic to intermediate chainsaw skills for ground- and canopy-based cutting.
• Use hand tools such as saws, pruners, poles, rakes, and shovels for tree care tasks.
• Wear PPE per industry standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a safe and organized work zone.
• Implement plans to prevent property damage and injuries during operations.
