Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Climber I to perform general tree care, including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and removals. You will support the team in clearing sites and disposing of debris, while following safety protocols and using PPE.

Responsibilities include basic ground and canopy work, safe operation of chippers and chainsaws, and clear communication with climbers and the public. EHAP/First-Aid/CPR certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in arboriculture field operations.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Basic to intermediate chainsaw skills and equipment handling.
• Capable of following instructions and roping/rigging basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal up to 60 feet.
• Access trees safely following protocols and move through canopies.
• Operate powered equipment like chippers, trucks, and blowers safely.
• Use hand tools and PPE correctly; maintain a clean work zone.
• Communicate with climbers and the public to ensure safety.
• Be prepared to certify EHAP, First-Aid and CPR as needed.
