Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Transport Network Specialist to support NMCI/SMIT programs, providing network engineering support, planning, designing, and evaluating Navy NMCI network components. The role requires DoD access, ITIL familiarity, and SNMP-based monitoring expertise.

You will monitor transport health, handle incidents, and coordinate with vendors and site operations to ensure reliable network services for Navy/Marine operations. Shift work is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience or training.
• U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level II certification required prior to onboarding (examples listed in job posting).
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices (ITIL Foundations).
• Experience with enterprise event, incident, and performance management tools and SNMP-based monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor events and incidents affecting Network Transport and service health across the Enterprise.
• Monitor WLAN/LAN/WAN solutions critical to user missions.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with stakeholders.
