Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking an Entry‑Level Traffic Engineer to join our transportation team in the Boston area. You will contribute to traffic studies, safety analyses, signal design, and multimodal projects while gaining hands‑on experience alongside seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field from an ABET‑accredited university.
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year is preferred.
Internship or co‑op experience in transportation or traffic engineering is a plus.
Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO guidelines, and DOT standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist with traffic impact studies and transportation planning projects.
Collect and analyze traffic data including counts, speed studies, and crash data.
Support design and evaluation of signals, signing, markings, and roadway safety improvements.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.
Assist with traffic modeling and simulation using industry‑standard software.
Participate in field investigations and site visits to evaluate conditions.
