Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) in the United States is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer to join our transportation team. You will contribute to traffic studies, safety analyses, signal design, traffic operations, and multimodal projects under experienced guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
• Internship or co-op in transportation/traffic engineering a plus.
• Basic understanding of traffic engineering and planning principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic impact studies, operations analyses, and transportation planning.
• Collect and analyze traffic data including counts, speeds, and crash data.
• Support design and evaluation of signals, signage, and pavement markings.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and project documentation.
• Assist with traffic modeling and simulation using industry software.
• Participate in field investigations and site visits.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, clients, and agencies.
• Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Review plans to ensure standards and guidelines compliance.
