Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support geospatial intelligence programs. You will work with NSG/ASG and Federal Agencies, assisting across requirements, design, integration, and test to deliver timely GEOINT solutions.

This onsite role is based in Chantilly or Springfield, VA, with opportunities to contribute to architecture analysis and mission-focused engineering. Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree, 0–6 years of experience, and an active TS/SCI clearance or in-progress

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
0–6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry.
Active TS/SCI clearance or adjudication in progress, ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

Support mid-level engineers and government stakeholders across requirements engineering, solutions design, integration, and test & evaluation.
Assist with requirements traceability and architecture analysis, helping identify ways to improve systems, workflows, and cloud capabilities.
Contribute to solutions design based on requirements analysis and emerging technology.
Help translate mission and customer needs into systems and capability requirements.
Support requirements allocation across architecture components and programs.
Assist with systems integration activities.
Contribute to Analyses of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
Support strategic technical planning, risk management, and interface design.
