Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support national security geospatial efforts in Virginia. You will work onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, collaborating with experienced engineers on requirements, design, integration, and test & evaluation to deliver GEOINT capabilities.

The role focuses on translating mission needs into system requirements, aiding with traceability, and contributing to solutions design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM or +4 years with no degree.
0–6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry.
Active TS/SCI clearance or adjudication in progress with ability to obtain SCI and pass polygraph.

Responsibilities

Support mid-level engineers and government stakeholders across requirements engineering and design.
Assist with requirements traceability and architecture analysis.
Contribute to solutions design based on requirements and emerging tech.
Translate mission and customer needs into system requirements.
Support requirements allocation across architecture components.
Assist with systems integration activities.
Contribute to Analyses of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
Support strategic technical planning and risk management.
