Job summary

Peraton in Virginia is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support geospatial intelligence programs. You will collaborate with mid-level engineers and government stakeholders across requirements, design, integration, and test & evaluation to deliver timely GEOINT capabilities.

The role is fully onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA, with access to MBSE tools and cloud-enabled workflows. A TS/SCI clearance is required, and the position is pipeline, contingent on opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance pass a polygraph.
• Willingness to work at a customer facility.

Responsibilities

• Support Mid-level engineers and government stakeholders across requirements engineering, solutions design, integration, and test & evaluation
• Assist with requirements traceability and architecture analysis, helping identify ways to improve systems, workflows, and cloud capabilities
• Contribute to solutions design based on requirements analysis and emerging technology
• Help translate mission and customer needs into systems and capability requirements
• Support requirements allocation across architecture components and programs
• Assist with systems integration activities
• Contribute to Analyses of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments
• Support strategic technical planning, risk management, and interface design
