Job summary

SAIC is seeking a GEOINT Systems Engineer to support the Prime Program, Aretuza, in Chantilly, VA. The role involves analyzing concepts, defining capabilities, and supporting CONOPs, interfaces, and readiness events.

You will interact with senior government and program staff, oversee software development, and guide architectural decisions and programmatic planning. This full-time position offers opportunities for on-site work with potential remote arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; five+ years experience, or advanced degrees with substitutions
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Experience in GEOINT systems, including space and ground architecture, mission control, and mission processing.
• Knowledge/experience in IC/DoD system acquisition, including roles, processes, and project/program management.
• Experience in developing or supporting GEOINT processing capabilities.
• Domain knowledge in ground software, space development programs, or mission operations.
• Experience supporting Intelligence Community programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with development contractors, government personnel, and customers on GEOINT systems engineering, mission management, and processing.
• Provide oversight of software development and integration activities aligning with government requirements.
• Perform engineering analyses to support delivery of core mission processing services throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain cognizance of GEOINT mission projects including baselines, schedules, risks, and costs.
• Advise leadership on architectural decisions, investment priorities, and project risk assessments.
• Conduct strategic planning for mission architecture and programmatic needs, including budgeting and acquisition schedules.
• Assess performance, cost, schedule, and risk impacts on ground implementations.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports and program plans.
