We are looking for an energetic and commercially minded Junior Sales Representative to support new business development across Noratel’s strategic North American markets. This is an entry‑level opportunity for someone who enjoys researching companies, identifying the right contacts, starting conversations, and building a qualified sales pipeline. You will work closely with Business Development, Key Account Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to identify prospective customers and create new opportunities for growth.
The preferred location is Hobart, Indiana, although remote work may be considered for the right candidate. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the resilience to keep moving forward when a first approach does not lead to an immediate result.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective customers aligned with Noratel’s strategic markets and growth priorities
- Build and maintain target‑account lists, prospect databases, and customer contact records
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, referrals, trade shows, and marketing campaigns
- Identify and connect with key decision‑makers, including engineering, purchasing, management, and executive stakeholders
- Maintain consistent follow‑up to develop contacts and advance early‑stage opportunities
Opportunity Qualification
- Qualify prospective customers based on application fit, business potential, strategic alignment, and customer requirements
- Learn about customer applications, challenges, business drivers, and future needs through effective questioning and active listening
- Perform stakeholder mapping to understand organizational structures, decision‑making processes, and purchasing influence
- Schedule introductory meetings and discussions for Sales and Business Development colleagues
- Support the conversion of early‑stage interest into qualified pipeline opportunities
Customer Engagement
- Communicate Noratel’s capabilities, engineering expertise, manufacturing footprint, and customer value proposition
- Build confidence and establish positive early‑stage relationships with prospective customers
- Engage professionally with engineers, buyers, managers, and senior decision‑makers
- Support customer conversations with clear, relevant, and well‑prepared information
- Coordinate internally to ensure prospective customers receive timely and accurate follow‑up
Market and Sales Support
- Gather customer insights, market intelligence, competitor information, and relevant industry trends
- Share findings with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and leadership teams
- Support trade shows, campaigns, lead follow‑up, and other business‑development initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of activities, contacts, opportunities, and next actions
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer engagement and lead‑conversion effectiveness
Success in This Role
- New target accounts identified
- New customer contacts developed

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred
- One to three years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, customer service, or another customer‑facing role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence using the telephone and conducting outbound prospecting
- Ability to research companies, markets, contacts, and customer organizations
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow‑up activities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and structured customer or sales‑tracking tools
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented working style
