Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of large-scale construction projects, primarily within the data center market and heavy industrial sectors. You will assist in overseeing change requests, planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and coordinating with team members and subcontractors.

You will also prepare reports, track expenses, and ensure the project stays on budget while maintaining clear client communication.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of direct experience.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time.
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc.), or combination of experience and/or education.
• A good understanding of how to read drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with computer-based estimating.
• Knowledge of billing and collections.

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimating project scope and costs.
• Manage project expectations and execution of subcontractors.
• Maintaining project documentation.
• Tracking project expenses and budgetPreparing reports.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors.
• Attend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
• Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approval.
• Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions.
• Monitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes.
• Assist with the submittal and RFI processes.
• Assist in the early completion and tracking of billing.
