Job summary

Southland Industries in Schertz, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, developing skills in estimating, scheduling and design within the design-build process.

You will assist with change management, procurement of equipment and subcontractors, and stay current on industry trends while collaborating with teams to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or relevant experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC or plumbing drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with CADD and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to management.
• Manages change orders. Ensure they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment, materials and services; participates in subcontractor selection and hiring.
• Stays current on emerging trends in the industry.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
