Southland Industries in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects. You will assist in estimating, scheduling, and design within design-build processes, developing skills across project controls and coordination with subcontractors.

Ideal candidate holds a four-year engineering degree and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment offering strong benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders. Ensure they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed
