Job summary

EXP is seeking a Junior Project Accountant (Hybrid) to join the Finance Operations team. You will manage project finances, including billing, budgeting, and reporting, supporting engineers and project managers.

The role requires a BS in Accounting and 2–4 years of accounting experience in an engineering environment, with strong attention to detail and communication skills. Competitive benefits are offered with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
• 2–4 years accounting experience (AP/AR/billing) in an engineering firm.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with independent work habits.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Project Managers and Sector Leads on contracts, change orders, and services.
• Set up, review, and activate projects; maintain budgets.
• Close out projects on completion and prepare invoices and backups.
• Send invoices to clients and organize copies.
• Create monthly Project Progress Reports and hold PM review meetings.
• Investigate variances and report to management; assist with cash reconciliation.
