Job summary

EXP is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to join our Finance Operations team in a hybrid role. You will manage project accounting, invoicing, and budget reviews for engineering projects, coordinating with project managers and sector leads.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, knowledge of revenue recognition, and proficiency in Deltek Vision or Vantage Point. We offer health insurance, vacation time, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field.
• 2–4 years of Accounting experience in an engineering firm or professional services.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail oriented.
• Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantage Point is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Project Managers on contracts, change orders and invoicing.
• Set up and review projects in Deltek; monitor budgets.
• Prepare, draft and send invoices with supporting backup.
• Create monthly Project Progress Reports and review with PMs.
• Reconcile variances and assist with audits and vendor setup.
