Job summary

BKF is seeking a Project Accountant in Oakland to manage accounts and project cost data with accuracy. You will handle invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting to support project managers and clients.

The role requires a degree in accounting, experience in architecture/engineering, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across offices in a dynamic environment. Hybrid-remote work and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Architecture or Engineering industry preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Deltek Vantagepoint Accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare client invoices and review labor/expense charges; ensure accurate rates.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual).
• Provide invoice support documentation to clients upon request.
• Prepare project financial reports (WIP aging, AR aging).
• Assist with project setup/maintenance in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Troubleshoot and resolve project billing issues.
• Hybrid-remote work with Oakland office visit once per week.
