Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. seeks an entry-level process engineer to assist in routine designs of chemical/biochemical/petroleum projects under supervision. You will support concept layouts, cost studies, and material take-offs, using CAD tools and MS Office.

EIT registration is strongly preferred, with up to 1 year of related industrial experience. Occasional on-site travel may be required. Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in engineering and demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills,

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is strongly preferred.
This position requires up to 1 year of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum or biochemical process design engineering.

Responsibilities

Generally responsible for performing routine designs of less complex engineering assignments under direct supervision.
Assist in developing conceptual layouts and cost studies for simple, efficient design solutions.
Assist in producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs for project estimates.
Assist in producing detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
Collaborate with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure smooth information flow and timely completion.
Willing to travel on-site for work, meetings, or training when required.
