Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a junior process engineer to perform complete design of less complex process engineering tasks and assist with larger assignments. You will work under supervision to develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs, while checking calculations and supporting the drafting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred; PE registration/CPIP encouraged.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
• Knowledge of process safety concepts and process simulation software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design less complex process engineering assignments and assist with larger tasks under supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and rough cost studies as needed for project scoping.
• Produce preliminary design calculations and material estimates for budgeting.
• Check calculations for accuracy and assist drafting with detailed drawings.
• Support fieldwork, data collection, vendor drawings review, and project submittals.
