Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to design and support chemical/process engineering assignments in our Pasadena office.

The role involves contributing to conceptual layouts, cost studies, and detailed calculations, while ensuring safety and adherence to specifications. Ideal candidates will have 1+ years of industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design, plus familiarity with process simulation tools and CAD software.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is strongly preferred; PE or CPIP preferred on eligibility.
Requires 1+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and process simulation software.
Experience with process safety concepts and basic familiarity with CAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Promoting safety culture and applying safety concepts to process design.
Assist in conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs.
Produce design calculations, sketches, and materials of construction details.
Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and design criteria.
Collaborate with drafting and other disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.
Perform fieldwork for data collection, tie-ins, and construction support.
Travel as required for on-site work, meetings, or training.
