Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in California is seeking a process engineer with 1+ year of experience to perform design tasks under supervision and contribute to smaller projects. Ideal candidate holds a BS or MS in chemical, mechanical, biochemical, or petroleum engineering, with EIT preferred.

PE/CPIP may be encouraged on eligibility. You will collaborate with discipline leads, check drawings, and support field data collection.

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
• Strong foundation in chemical/process engineering and familiarity with design codes.
• Prerequisites include Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred; Professional Engineering or CPIP may be favorable.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of less complex process engineering tasks under supervision.
• Assist in conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Prepare estimate-level designs and material take-offs.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth project flow.
• Travel to site for on-site work and client meetings as required.
