Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Englewood, CO or Westminster, CO team. You will develop heat and material balances, PFDs and P&IDs, and perform hydraulic calculations under supervision.

Travel to client sites may be required up to 20% for meetings, startup activities, and site visits. Applicants should hold a BS in engineering, demonstrate strong communication and teamwork, and be proficient with process simulation tools and equipment sizing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to develop heat and material balances, PFDs and P&IDs under supervision.
• Experience with process simulation tools and equipment sizing calculations.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings and site activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop heat and material balance for new projects and sizing calculations.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs; perform hydraulic calculations and PSV sizing.
• Support safety reviews (HAZOP/PHAs) and design basis development.
• Assist in proposals, staffing, construction, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Draft operating procedures and contribute to operator training input.
