Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team in Englewood, CO or Westminster, CO with a Summer 2027 start date. You will develop heat and material balances, sizing calculations, PFDs/P&IDs, and participate in safety reviews while supporting project staffing and client coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with a strong academic background.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop the heat and material balance for new projects using process simulation tools.
• Size equipment and prepare data sheets; perform hydraulic calculations for pipes, valves, compressors and pumps.
• Perform facility overpressure protection calculations and PSV sizing.
• Develop the Design Basis and Process Control Narrative; support Cause & Effect documentation.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs; participate in safety reviews (HAZOP/PHAs/PSM).
• Support proposals, scheduling, staffing, construction, commissioning and start-up activities.
