Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a lead process engineer to act as a senior technical advisor on multiple projects in the oil and gas sector. You will develop heat and material balance, and create PFDs and P&IDs, while sizing equipment and performing hydraulic calculations for optimal plant performance.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 15+ years of experience, PE license preferred, and strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of oil and gas experience in midstream and/or upstream.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineer and/or senior technical advisor on multiple projects.
• Develop heat and material balance for new projects using process simulation tools.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs for facilities and pipelines.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations and prepare data sheets.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing, valve duties, and compressor/pump duties.
• Lead safety reviews (HAZOP/PHAs) and PSM activities.
• Develop Design Basis and Process Control Narrative documents.
• Coordinate with project team, clients, vendors, and contractors.
