Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an entry-level Piping Engineering & Analysis Engineer to learn the practical application of engineering principles through data collection, processing, and evaluation. You will perform simple calculations and support system designs under close supervision.

Responsibilities include data gathering for specifications and reports, communicating results clearly to team members, and growing professionally within the Nuclear Power Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering with emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, gathers data and prepares simple calculations.
• Under supervision, prepares simple system/structural designs.
• Gathers data for specifications and reports/studies.
• Communicates technical information and results clearly to project teams and supervisors.
• Develops personal capabilities on assigned projects to grow professionally.
