Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an entry-level Piping Engineer to learn applying engineering principles by collecting, processing, and evaluating data for piping systems.

Under supervision, you will perform simple calculations, assist in system designs, gather specifications, and prepare bid tabulations and reports while gaining familiarity with codes like ASME B31.1 and B31.7 to support nuclear and power projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil with emphasis in solid mechanics and finite element analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data and prepares simple calculations under supervision.
• Prepares simple system/structural designs under supervision.
• Gathers data for specifications and bid tabulations.
• Prepares reports/studies and communicates results clearly to the project team.
• Gains familiarity with standards and processes and completes assignments on time.
• Develops personal capabilities to grow professionally on assigned projects.
