Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to provide technical direction on piping analysis tasks within the Nuclear Power Group. You will lead projects, review complex calculations, and ensure designs meet ASME codes and client requirements.

Hybrid work arrangement requires in-office presence three days a week. A strong background in piping codes, structural analysis, and client liaison is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in piping engineering and analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams; provide technical direction and supervise tasks.
• Review complex calculations and approve simpler ones; guide design input.
• Review and approve system/structural designs; ensure quality and operability.
• Prepare and review major system, installation, and material specs.
• Prepare bid evaluations and participate in vendor negotiations.
• Contribute to multi-discipline reports and ensure clear communication.
