Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an entry-level M/E Engineer for the Advanced Facilities Group. You will support safety, quality plans, and routine M/E construction activities while learning budget development and bid coordination.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in engineering and have 0–2 years in construction or related internships, with strong reading of plans and collaboration skills. This role offers exposure to major industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field is required.
• 0–2 years construction experience or internship is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Complete routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates using estimating systems.
• Review mechanical/electrical options in preconstruction and analyze systems.
• Develop M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assist bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Assist sequencing and constructability efforts.
• Support shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning.
