Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking an M/E Engineer 1 for the Advanced Facilities Group. You will participate in safety, quality plans, and perform entry-level M/E construction tasks across multiple projects.

You’ll assist in preconstruction, bid analyses, sequencing, and commissioning activities, growing technical and collaborative skills within a national team. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in a related engineering field or have equivalent experience; 0–2 years construction exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and promotes an injury-free environment.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develops budgetary M/E estimates using program data and estimating system.
• Reviews mechanical/electrical options during preconstruction and analyzes systems.
• Develops M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Develops sequencing requirements for systems to meet schedules.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues.
• Performs job inspections to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Assists with shop drawing/submittal process.
• Assists with commissioning, including pre-functional checklists and testing.
