Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level engineer to join the Advanced Facilities Group, supporting mechanical and electrical work on large industrial, data center and semiconductor projects. You’ll learn estimation, bid coordination, and on-site execution while contributing to safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in construction or related internships and a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
0-2 years construction experience and/or internship/co-op preferred.

Responsibilities

Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
Learns to develop M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
Assists in sequencing requirements of various systems to meet schedule.
Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues for constructability reports.
Performs job inspections to ensure specs and timely quality work.
Assists with shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning.
