Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks an entry-level M/E engineer to join the Core team on Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. You will participate in safety and quality plans, learn to develop budgetary M/E estimates, and support bid and preconstruction activities.

This role emphasizes hands-on learning with our ME tools, collaboration across disciplines, and growth under experienced mentors as you gain experience reading plans, specifications,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or architectural engineering (Required) or equivalent relevant experience.
• 0–2 years construction experience or summer internship preferred.
• Ability to read plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Interest in developing M/E estimates and coordinating bid/constructability activities.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and supports a culture of injury‑free work.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating systems.
• Assists in preconstruction review and bid analysis for select projects.
• Supports shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning activities.
