Job summary

Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita is seeking a Kitchen Steward under direct supervision to prep food items, learn cooking techniques, and support all Food & Beverage venues. You will follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and help with storage and stock in a fast-paced casino kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, are at least 18, and can pass a background check and drug screen to obtain a gaming license. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; six months kitchen experience or six months as Kitchen Steward.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible for gaming license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Learn to prepare a variety of foods according to the menu and demand.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area following health/food safety regulations.
• Communicate with Lead Pastry Cooks, Lead Cooks, and Room Chefs.
• Follow standardized recipes and assigned tasks.
• Help with storage, stock, and equipment cleaning.
