Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita is seeking a Lead Cook to supervise kitchen operations under the Room Chef and F&B Back of the House Intern, preparing foods according to production sheets, menus, and standard recipes.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least three years as a cook, plus at least one year in a lead role, be 18+, pass health and background checks, and obtain a Food Handler's Card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a cook; at least 1 year in a lead/supervisor role.
• Must obtain a Food Handler’s Card and pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Cooks a variety of foods in line with menus and production sheets.
• Delegates tasks to Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Stewards.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area per health and safety regulations.
• Keeps venues ready for opening by the scheduled time and ensures proper stock levels.
• Communicates with Room Chef and Back of the House Intern about foods, par levels, and equipment needs.
• Trains and teaches culinary methods to junior staff and ensures quality standards.
