Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks a Junior Graphic Designer to support licensed sleepwear, loungewear, and intimate apparel with strong Illustrator skills and a keen eye for detail. You’ll help develop graphics for licensed properties and assist in the apparel development process.

You will work closely with design and merchandising teams, prepare tech packs, and ensure artwork accuracy from concept to production, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic apparel business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Illustration, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
• Strong visual design abilities and attention to detail.
• Interest in licensed merchandise and apparel product development.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective cross-team collaboration and communication.
• Eagerness to learn about garment construction and apparel manufacturing.
• Experience preparing tech packs or working with apparel manufacturers is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Artwork & graphic development for licensed apparel, creating originals that reflect brand standards and market trends.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs detailing artwork placement, color variations, measurements, materials, and construction requirements.
• Partner with design and merchandising teams to move products from initial concepts through final production.
• Sample evaluation for graphic accuracy, color matching, artwork positioning, and compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinate with merchandising, production, and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure products are developed per approved designs.
• Keep artwork files, tech packs, product specs, and sample notes organized for ongoing development and repeat production.
• Assist in creating packaging graphics and preparing packaging-related technical documentation when needed.
