Unknown company in New York is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support the development of licensed sleepwear, loungewear, and intimate apparel. You will contribute to concepts, create original artwork, and help manage the full apparel design and development process.

The ideal candidate has strong Illustrator skills, a creative eye, and an interest in garment specifications, tech packs, and manufacturing. This is an entry-level opportunity within a growing apparel team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
• Strong visual design abilities and attention to detail.
• Interest in licensed merchandise and apparel product development.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design original graphics, prints, patterns for licensed apparel.
• Prepare and maintain apparel tech packs detailing artwork placement, color variations, measurements, materials, and garment construction requirements.
• Partner with design and merchandising teams to move products from concepts to production.
• Inspect samples for graphic accuracy, color matching, and adherence to specs; provide feedback.
• Coordinate with merchandising, production, and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure alignment with approved designs.
• Organize artwork files, tech packs, specs, and sample review notes for ongoing development.
• Assist in creating packaging graphics and related documentation when needed.
