Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support licensed sleepwear, loungewear, and intimate apparel development in New York. You’ll craft graphics, develop patterns, and help manage tech packs for accurate manufacturing.

The role emphasizes Illustrator proficiency, attention to detail, and collaboration with design and merchandising teams to advance concepts through production and packaging stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Illustration, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
• Strong visual design abilities, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Interest in licensed merchandise, character-based artwork, and apparel product development.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Artwork & Graphic Development: design original graphics, prints, patterns for licensed apparel reflecting brand standards.
• Technical Documentation: prepare tech packs detailing artwork placement, colors, measurements, materials, construction.
• Product Design & Development: partner with teams to move concepts through final production.
• Sample Evaluation: inspect for graphic accuracy, color matching, and compliance with specs.
• Team & Vendor Coordination: work with merchandising, production, and overseas partners.
• File & Specification Management: keep files, tech packs, specs, and notes organized.
• Packaging Support: assist in creating packaging graphics and related documentation.
