Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate residential loans by soliciting and building relationships with real estate professionals and builders. You will manage the loan file through processing, underwriting, closing and post-closing, while ensuring compliance and excellent service.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Registered MLO per S.A.F.E. Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans through self-generated and bank-generated leads.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and referral sources.
• Ensure accurate documentation for loan disclosures, processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain knowledge of lending programs and compliance.
