Columbia Bank in The Dalles, Oregon is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to drive outside sales and self-generated residential loan origination. You will develop marketing plans, interview borrowers, assess finances, and guide disclosures.

This commission-based role requires MLO registration and strong ability to build referral networks while delivering high ethical standards and excellent service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mortgage self-generated origination/sales experience required.
• Knowledge of home lending processes: processing, underwriting, closing and funding.
• MLO registration as per SAFE Act required.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service and compliance focus.
• Ability to develop referral sources and grow business sustainably.

Responsibilities

• Originate self-generated residential mortgages and market off-site.
• Develops marketing plans to meet monthly/quarterly production standards.
• Interviews borrowers, analyzes financial data, advises on products and disclosures.
• Ensures compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manages loan files through processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing.
• Maintains relationships and cross-sells bank products to customers.
