Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will work under senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations, with potential remote work and travel for mobile service.

The role is based primarily at a local service center and may involve support for plant operations as needed, requiring strong communication and a passion for innovation and adventure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on automotive/shop experience; recent graduates welcome.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.
• Graduation from an automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers, mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship from senior technicians; follow procedures and safety rules.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify quality and safety; assist with parts operations including ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory tracking, and work orders/expense reporting.
