Job summary

Herc Rentals seeks an entry-level Mechanic C in Lincoln, NE to learn product knowledge and quality standards. You will work to keep equipment on the rental ready line through preventative and corrective maintenance.

The role focuses on following SOPs at branch, regional, and national levels, with hands-on learning in an engaging team environment and opportunities for career growth as you advance to higher-level mechanic roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn procedures at branch, region and national levels.
• Basic electrical/hydraulic knowledge and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc-owned fleet per schedule.
• Inspect equipment, replace filters, fluids and perform oil changes.
• Operate and test equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
• Enter work orders and maintain repair logs in the fleet system.
• Follow safety protocols and assist with parts replacement as needed.
