Job summary

GHD is hiring an Environmental Engineer for the Southeast environmental team. You will collaborate with senior staff to develop your professional skills in contamination assessment and remediation while supporting a hybrid work model, three days in the office.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's (or Master’s) in Environmental or Civil Engineering with 0–2 years of relevant experience. AutoCAD familiarity and willingness to travel are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in the environmental field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field duties for environmental projects, including inspection, monitoring, and oversight.
• Conduct sampling and monitoring for various media following established procedures.
• Assist with design calculations for solid waste facilities and remediation systems.
• Support permit applications and renewals related to operations and sites.
• Coordinate with senior staff on technical reports, proposals and budgets.
• Travel to sites and support field activities as needed.
