Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Southeast Environmental team. The role offers hybrid work with in-office collaboration three days a week, and opportunities to develop skills under senior staff within Contamination Assessment and Remediation projects.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental/Civil Engineering and 0–2 years of experience. Travel and field work will be required as part of project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental or civil engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in environmental industries.
• SPCC/SPR, SPDES experience desired but not required.
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge; advanced design is a plus.
• HAZWOPER certification a plus; willing to travel and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform field duties for environmental projects including inspection, monitoring, and oversight of solid waste facilities.
• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring per procedures.
• Respond to environmental emergencies nationwide and monitor impacts for clients.
• Assist in preparing technical documents, cost estimates, and budgets.
• Support design calculations for solid waste facilities and remediation systems.
• Support permit applications/renewals for facilities and sites.
• Assist with LFG/biogas systems design and operation.
• Support EHS/permit compliance tasks and routine reporting.
