Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer in our Power Delivery ESSP team to support a range of utility and industrial projects. The role includes performing electrical studies and developing SCADA systems, with opportunities across several U.S.

locations, including Orlando, FL. You will work with protective relaying, power system planning, design studies, and data acquisition while traveling to project sites as needed and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Recent engineering graduate with a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Analytical mindset with good judgement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to meet objectives.
• Proficiency in technical writing and office tools.
• Willing to travel as project requirements may demand.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies and develop/troubleshoot SCADA systems for utility/industrial clients.
• Cover power systems including generation facilities, substations, transmission and distribution.
• Assist in protective relaying, power system planning, and design studies.
• Configure networks for RTUs, HMIs, PLCs and other SCADA equipment; visit sites to test systems.
• Support senior engineers with research, documentation, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across project controls, procurement, and permitting.
