Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks an Early Career Electrical Engineer (ESSP) for our Phoenix, AZ office, with San Diego, CA as a considered location.

The successful applicant will perform electrical studies and develop and troubleshoot SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients, covering power systems, substations, transmission and distribution. You will collaborate with the Power Delivery ESSP team, support design and commissioning, and contribute to safety, documentation, and project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Analytical mindset with sound judgement.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Awareness of safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies and develop/troubleshoot SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients.
• Work on power systems including generation facilities, substations, transmission and distribution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects and support design, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings; maintain accurate documentation.
• Travel to project sites as required; adhere to safety, quality, and ethics policies.
