WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer ( ESSP ) to join the Power Delivery team in a multi-location setup including Ann Arbor, MI, and other US cities. You will perform electrical studies, SCADA development, and support design and field deployment for utility and industrial clients.

The role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate with strong analytical and communication skills, eager to learn in a growing global firm. Relocation and travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be a recent Engineering Graduate (Bachelor’s Degree).
  • Preferred: Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
  • GPA not specified; strong academic background recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical studies and develop/troubleshoot SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients.
  • Conduct power system planning studies and voltage stability analyses.
  • Assist in design studies: grounding, insulation coordination, and power quality.
  • Design and configure network paths for RTUs, relays, HMIs, PLCs; travel to sites for testing and commissioning.
  • Prepare data transfer schemes and HMI screens; write technical reports with findings and conclusions.
  • Support senior engineers with research, risk assessment, and design concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project work and training tasks.
